Since 1991 I have been enjoying raising the beautiful and docile Himalayan rabbit breed. They have such wonderful dispositions, so lively and yet gentle. Himmies come in four pointed color varieties: black, blue, chocolate, and lilac. They are a fascinating breed of rabbit.

This spring I showed both the Silvers and the Himalayans at their respective National shows. The shows were held on the same day, April 13, 2013 but in different parts of the country. Silver National was in Louisville, KY and the Himalayan National was in Jefferson, WI. I dropped of my Silvers in Louisville, along with Bruce and all of his Netherland Dwarfs and proceeded to Wisconsin. The Himmies were, as they always are, very nice traveling companions. Saw some cool country, such as a huge wind turbine farm, north of Indianapolis, Chicago traffic, and Wisconsin late winter snow. AHRA National results: Best Black with my black junior doe, and Best Opposite Blue with my blue junior buck.
